ENFORCER Plug-and-Play Backup Power units provide backup power to power devices during temporary power outages. Installs between the original power adapter and the powered device and auto-selects 5, 7.5, 9, or 12VDC.

  • On initial installation, be sure that batteries have been charged for 24 hours before testing backup time
The power plug does not fit my unit
  • You may need to provide a power tip adapter to connect to your device (two adapters, both male and female)
Device does not turn on when
installed
  •  Check to see that all plugs are firmly connected at the device, the Backup Power unit, power adapter, and the AC wall outlet
  •  Check to see that the AC outlet is live
  •  Ensure that the Backup Power unit’s power LED is lit
  • Check for a short or overload. The Backup Power unit is designed to cut power when a short-circuit or overload is detected
  • Check that the device’s voltage is compatible (either 5, 7.5, 9, or 12VDC)
  • Press the “Off/Reset” button to reset voltage output
During a power outage, power is not provided to device
  • Check for a short or overload. The Backup Power unit is designed to cut power when a short-circuit or overload is detected
The alarm sounds (long beep) and the red alarm LED is lit
  • Ensure that the input voltage is either 5, 7.5, 9, or 12VDC
  • Ensure that the original power adapter is working and providing power to the Backup Power unit
  • Ensure that the device’s current draw is no more than 10W
  • Check for a short-circuit at the device
