FAQs

  1. Ensure that all devices are turned on
  2. Ensure that the PoE device is functioning by plugging it directly into the PoE switch, computer, etc.
  3. Double-check that the cables were connected properly
  4. Run a continuity test on all wires in the cable
  5. Equipment at both ends must be at the same link speed, 10BASE-T with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T with 100BASE-T, etc.
  6. Replace with a higher-grade cable for better performance
  7. Ensure that cable lengths are within the allowable range and consistent with the remote PoE device power consumption and reduce cable length as needed
  8. No more than 2 PoE extenders may be used
  9. Check that power consumption is within the specifications
